SPIRAL HIGHWAY
Spiral
Highway Bradford uk recording at Holyground Wakefield
The photo of Spiral Highway circa 1973:
it is the professional band line up and is of left to right , myself Grom
Kelly( Bradford) piano/harmonica/vocals, Cam Sublette( Philledelphia, USA) guitar/vocals
and Ade Cook ( Wakefield) guitar/ synths/vocals.
Missing from this line up
are Mike Freeman ( Boston Spa) vocals / bass guitars and Roger Narroway ( Hertfordshire)
drums/ percussion. All the band members wrote.
The band was loosely based in
Bradford and then Leeds. Besides recording at Holy Ground we did quite a bit at
The Manor, Decca at Kilburn and we had our own couple of 4 tracks slaved together.
I don't have any of those recordings.
The Holy Ground recorded song 'Alice
Dee's Electric Outlaw Band' is a Spiral Highway tune from an idea which I think
originated within the Junior's Eyes dressing room jams in Germany 1970.
